I am an independent English-Russian Interpreter-translator in Moscow.

Thank you for visiting my site.

My name is Andrei Garden, and I provide verbal consecutive interpreting services along with some written translations in Moscow and Moscow Region (as well as in some other regions of Russian Federation where my customers may need their interpreting work to have done).

 

​A Russian national, a mechanical engineer by my education, I lived and worked in the United States in different capacities for close to 13 years from 1994 to 2007 and speak English fluently for more than 2 good decades with first experience in oral consecutive interpreting dated by years 1992-94 when I interpreted church services for a Russian-English Church in Moscow and in The United States.

 

Beginning from 2007 I spent several years translating mostly American and British TV programs for a couple of Russian TV channels in Moscow and started teaching English as a private freelance tutor in 2009.

 

I actively pursue my career as a freelance English-Russian interpreter since 2012, and you can see a short list of my accomplishments below on this page.

 

It will be my pleasure to discuss your English-Russian interpreting projects in Moscow, Moscow region or somewhere else and take part in them directly as an independent interpreter without a middleman in a form of a translation agency.

Major points of life and work history of the interpreter

  • Graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute with a 5.5 year diploma of a mechanical engineer, worked as an engineer for 3 years.

  • Passed through 2 years of the technical English training during the first 2 years in the Institute.

  • Finished 3 levels of the common and business English training in Moscow (1990-92).

  • Interpreted church services for a Russian-American church in Moscow and in the US. Close to 2 years of verbal English-Russian consecutive interpreting experience.

  • From 1994 to 2007 for 13 years lived and worked in the United States.

  • 2007-08: an interpreter-translator for Drive TV Channel in Moscow, Russia. Translated mostly American TV motor-sports programs for dubbing.

  • 2009: an interpreter for a cable channel Mother & Child in Moscow. Translated mostly British programs for dubbing.

  • 2009-now: a freelance English Tutor.

  • 2009-2011: a freelance English-Russian translator for different translation agencies in Moscow.

  • 2012 -now: a freelance English-Russian verbal consecutive interpreter in Moscow and Moscow region.

  • Verbal consecutive interpreting at several exhibitions in Moscow. (spring of 2013)

  • English-Russian consecutive interpreting at Knauf production plant in Krasnogorsk during installation, servicing, troubleshooting and repairs of special stream-line equipment. 5 days in June of 2013.

  • Consecutive verbal interpreting during negotiations between a Russian food caterer and Air-Astana representatives, inspection of food production facilities. Moscow, Sheremetievo. 2 days in July of 2013.

  • Interpreting of negotiations between a Russian dealer and a Chinese manufacturer of some electronic equipment. Mitishi, Moscow region. 1 day in September of 2013.

  • An interpreter at an international summit in Nizhniy Novgorod. September, 2013.

  • Consecutive interpreting of negotiations between a Russian producer and a Norvegian developer of heavy-duty industrial electric-power equipment. Mitishi, Moscow region. November, 2013.
